Authentic Answers Abstinence Alliance (4A) was awarded a 3-year Federal SPRANS grant in 2004 to bring a variety of abstinence-related services to 12-18 year old students in the Fort Hood/Killeen area, with a focus on the military child. During that time we provided classroom instruction, parent programs, speakers for assemblies and community events, and in-service workshops for educators and other professionals who work with teens.
Our staff includes Parent Educators, Abstinence Educators, Registered Nurses, Teachers and other professionals who are able to speak on a variety of abstinence-related topics, according to your group’s needs.
Due to the ending of the funding cycle June 30, 2007, we are unable to provide services free of charge. (We are waiting approval of our five-year proposal, due to start October 1, 2007.) However, you are still able to book Dr. Kathy Koch or one of our associate speakers for your in-service needs through Celebrate Kids Scheduling Department.
To discuss available 07-08 dates, topics and speakers, or to be placed on a contact list for when our new grant is approved, please contact Denice Crawford, Prevention Services Director.
